ABOUT THE ARTISANS:
Ahmed has been creating duffel bags and other leather products for 15 years. He learned leather craft skills from his father, who learned from his father. The leather used to create his duffels is processed in the traditional way in the centuries-old tanneries of Marrakech. Ahmed has his own business now and employs 3 other artisans from his community. It is thriving as he has secured customers - like Moroccan Buzz - in other countries. Ahmed is married with four children. He enjoys working with leather and says that he is “happy to support my family with my work.”
